Kent's goal is to bring together investigators from both UCSF and outside organizations to collaborate on innovative research programs in an effort to further the mission of UCSF – “advancing health worldwide”.
Kent enjoys the challenge of finding common ground amongst different parties and their respective interests so that life-changing research can be conducted at UCSF. He draws upon his experience working in law firms, biotech and his management role in a software company to assist him in doing so.
Marianne is a licensed patent attorney and experienced life sciences researcher who works to facilitate relationships between UCSF faculty and and industry partners in the fields of neurology and pediatric neuro-oncology.
Don Colburn started at UCSF in 2011 initially as a Subcontract Analyst and then transitioned to a Contracts and Grants Specialist position, both within the Office of Research Administration. His prior experience includes federal, municipal, non-profit (domestic and international) and private settings, all necessitating language analysis within the bounds of legal precedence. Combined with his pronounced interest in academic healthcare research and fostering collaborative environments, Don anticipates an engaging pursuit of award contracting exposure and refinement.
